Basil and Rana find frog eggs in a rain pool. They take the frog eggs to school in a jar and there the fun begins...
Teacher and Parent Notes:
It is a great opportunity when Basil and Rana find a string of gooey frog eggs in a rain pool on their way to school. The chidren learn some scientific information about frogs and amphibians and then realise that animals like humans do not like to be boxed in and would rather be set free and live with their own kind.
The funny turn of events make the children laugh and enjoy the story especially when the frog jumps and lands on the teacher’s head. Other than the scientific facts the parent or teacher can discuss feelings.
Why was the frog so lovingly cared for by kids feeling sad?
